VCHS Foundation Celebrated 25th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

The Valley County Health System Foundation hosted their 25th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, June 30th. Twenty-seven teams, a total of 108 golfers, played 18 holes of golf at the beautiful Dane Creek at the Ord Golf Club. The day included great meals sponsored by Ord Meal Locker, Speeds Apple Market, and The Ord Grocery Kart. In addition, to beat the heat, the golfers had the opportunity to enjoy a snow cone from TropicalSno.

The Championship Flight this year was secured by Team Ag Pro Insurance (Dan Vech, Aaron Wells, CJ Scarborough, & Mike Fitzgerald) who shot a 51. First National Bank of Ord (Don Blaha, Russ Blaha, Jim Augustyn, & Zeb Augustyn) won the First Flight with a score of 57. The FNB Team also donated back their monetary winnings to the VCHS Foundation. Peterson Legal Services (Gary Peterson, Preston Peterson, Christian Gosselin, & Dan Mettler) shot a 64 to win the Second Flight.
“Thank you to all of the teams, sponsors, and players who have supported the VCHS Foundation for the last 25 years! It was the perfect day to celebrate and give back to our community’s hospital system. We are incredibly lucky to have so much support year after year for this tournament,” shared VCHSF Executive Director Elizabeth Todsen Clark. “I also have to share the biggest thank you to all of the volunteers and Dane Creek who helped make the day a success!”

After a long day of golf, members from the community and teams stuck around to bid on auction items and to enjoy a delicious meal provided by Jubilee Events & Catering.

21st Annual Charity Tournament - June 28, 2019

On Friday, June 28, 2019, we hosted our 21st Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Ord Golf Course.
27 (4-person) scramble teams headed out to play 18 holes of golf on a very warm, summer day.

The day concluded behind the clubhouse with appetizers and raffles. New this year was the large raffle drawing for $2000 cash and $2000 toward the Ord Locker. The first name drawn was Jeremy Shoemaker of North Loup. Jeremy and his wife, Laci, chose the $2,000 cash. The second name drawn was Chuck Zangger, who received the $2,000 Ord Locker gift certificate. Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket(s).
