Valley County Health System Foundation will host its annual gala at Trotter Event Center on January 18. The Kentucky Derby theme will bring out big hats, fancy dress, bow ties, suspenders and more. "We look forward to seeing the people in our region come out to support healthcare, and we hope they also enjoy a fun evening out," stated Becky Ries, Executive Director of the Foundation. “Through the years, the Foundation has seen a tremendous amount of support from our community and the Central Nebraska region served by VCHS. We are pleased to plan an evening celebrating achievements and continue our mission to bring upgrades and enhancements to VCHS that ensure high-quality healthcare to the people serve by VCHS," Ries said. Ries noted, "Last year we raised $25,000 for a needed ventilator bi-pap during the "Make It Happen" auction and we owe that to the kindness of our donors. This year we have a fun race track that will allow donors the opportunity to give toward a new CT Scanner in a different fashion than our traditional "Make It Happen" auction, and I think everyone will enjoy the change."
