With the prospects of good yields and high grain prices, many grain producers harvested a record income in 2011. Marty Petska, Jim Edwards, Chuck Zangger, Jim Novotny and Roger Lansman decided to donate a gift of grain to the Valley County Health System Foundation after harvest as a way to minimize their tax liability while making a charitable gift to a local foundation. These farmers encourage others to consider giving a gift of grain to their favorite charity.
