I'm so happy to have started here at VCHS, and as I reflect on my decision to move to Ord I think of all the wonderful things the community has to offer.
I also reflect on the biggest challenges for new physicians coming out of residency: very large financial burden and trying to find housing in our new practice locations. It is difficult to get loans against years of time and money invested in accumulating knowledge. Knowledge and earning potential being an intangible, lenders are hesitant to take the risk. However, my transition to homeowner was eased with the assistance provided by the Physician Recruitment Loan. It played a big role in the decision to become a VCHS provider. It was helpful in making a down payment on a house here in Ord, which my husband and I are very excited to have. We take great pride in our home and are very thankful to have the Physician Recruitment Loan to assist us. |
